Stella Tillyard - Writer in Residence at Farmleigh 2009, will be in Castletown House on the 10th & 12th September
Stella Tillyard is best known for the award winning, best-selling Aristocrats: Caroline, Emily, Louisa and Sarah Lennox 1740-1832 which was made into a BBC mini-series in 1999. Aristocrats won the Longman/History Today Book of the Year Award and the Fawcett Prize. It has also been translated into six languages.
This year Stella is the writer in Residence in Farmleigh and we are delighted to welcome her to Castletown on the following dates.

"Aristocrats Tour with Stella Tillyard"
Stella Tillyard will meet and talk about the places that she wrote about in both Aristocrats and Citizen Lord - the private tour with Stella will include the shell cottage at Carton House and the print room in Castletown. The day will conclude with a tour of Castletown House.
Date: Saturday 12th September. Time: 11.30am to 5.30pm.
